This weekend is our anual moose season. After competing in a lottery draw with over 50,000 other people for one of 4500 licenses my uncle was the only one drawn in our group. His first time since 1984. I did not get a chance to go out until this morning because of work. After missing one yesterday and seeing 5 others that offered no shot he was very discouraged. Turn the page to 8:00 this morning while driving to where they were going to hunt they came around a corner to find a nice 10 point bull standing in the middle of the road needless to say he did not miss this time. But the bull had one last bit of revenge left in him he was dead before he left the road but ran on adrenaline. He fell at the top of a steep gully and slide clean to the bottom. By this time I have arrived to go hunting with them. 4 1/2 hours later after much pulling and pushing he is sitting on the back of my uncles pick-up. Here are a few pics of the occasion.
Here is the moose finally sitting on the road.

Close up of one of the antlers.

Just before we load him on the truck.

My little fella with the moose.

My uncle with his trophy.

My uncle and grandfather with the moose after we got back to the camp.
